Terms of Use & Disclaimer

Last updated: June 2026  ·  ElectriGate is a trading name of My Business Buddies, registered in England and Wales.

Please read this page before submitting an enquiry. ElectriGate operates as an introducer service. We connect customers with local independent fabricators and installers. We are not a gate manufacturer, installation company or contractor, and we are not party to any commercial agreement between you and your installer.

1. About ElectriGate

ElectriGate (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a trading name of My Business Buddies, a company registered in England and Wales with registered address at 4 Marlborough Road, Woodthorpe, Nottingham NG5 4FG.

ElectriGate operates as an introducer platform. Our service connects individuals and businesses (“customers”) who are seeking electric gate fabrication and installation services with independent local fabricators and installers (“installers”) who provide those services.

ElectriGate is not an installer, manufacturer, contractor or agent. We do not fabricate gates, carry out installations or provide any aftercare or maintenance services.

2. How the service works

When you submit an enquiry through the ElectriGate website, the following will happen:

  • Your enquiry details — including your name, contact information, location and project requirements — will be passed to a local installer in our network who covers your area.
  • The installer will contact you directly, using the contact details you have provided, to discuss your requirements and provide a quote.
  • Any subsequent communication, site visits, quotations, agreements and commercial transactions will take place directly between you and the installer.
  • ElectriGate plays no further role once the introduction has been made.
By submitting an enquiry, you consent to your contact details and project information being shared with a local installer for the purpose of following up on your enquiry.

3. Your relationship with installers

Installers in the ElectriGate network are independent businesses. They are not employees, agents or subcontractors of ElectriGate. They operate their own businesses independently and are solely responsible for:

  • The quality, specification and execution of any work carried out
  • All pricing, payment terms and invoicing
  • Any warranties, guarantees or aftercare commitments made in relation to their work
  • Compliance with applicable laws, regulations and safety standards including BS EN 12453
  • Their own insurance, public liability cover and professional indemnity

Any contract for work is formed solely between you and the installer. ElectriGate is not party to that contract and has no obligations or liabilities arising from it.

4. Your data and how we use it

When you submit an enquiry, we collect the personal information you provide (such as your name, phone number, email address, postcode and project details). We use this information to:

  • Match your enquiry with an appropriate local installer
  • Pass your details to that installer so they can contact you
  • Communicate with you in connection with your enquiry

We do not sell your data to third parties. Your information will be shared with the installer matched to your enquiry for the sole purpose of following up on your request. By submitting an enquiry you consent to this.

We process your data in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. For full details of how we handle your data, including your rights, please contact us at help@startupmybusiness.co.uk.

5. Limitation of liability

ElectriGate acts solely as an introducer. To the fullest extent permitted by law, ElectriGate shall not be liable for:

  • The quality, safety, timeliness or outcome of any work carried out by an installer
  • Any loss, damage, injury or expense arising from your dealings with an installer
  • Any dispute between you and an installer regarding pricing, workmanship, payment or any other matter
  • The accuracy of any pricing indication provided on this website, which is intended as a guide only
  • Any failure by an installer to contact you, fulfil a quote or complete a project
If you have a complaint about work carried out by an installer, this should be raised directly with the installer. ElectriGate is not able to mediate disputes or accept liability for installer conduct.

6. Pricing information

Any pricing information displayed on the ElectriGate website is provided as a general guide only. Actual costs will depend on the specific requirements of your project, your location and the assessment of the installer following a site survey.

All prices shown exclude VAT unless otherwise stated. A binding quote can only be provided by the installer directly, following their assessment of your specific project.

7. Payment, warranties and guarantees

All payment terms are agreed directly between you and your installer. ElectriGate does not handle, process or hold any payments in connection with installation work.

Any warranties or guarantees on materials or workmanship are provided by the installer and are subject to their own terms. ElectriGate makes no warranty in relation to the work of any installer.
